The Electronics Giant Elkjøp is Bringing Yepzon Freedom to the Scandinavian market in bulk

The Finnish technology company Yepzon, a location device and service provider, has made a group-level retail agreement with the Elkjøp Nordic. By this agreement, the electronics giant Elkjøp will introduce Yepzon’s new locators to approximately 300 outlets in Scandinavia.

Outside Norway, Scandinavia’s largest home entertainment electronics retailer Elkjøp Nordic is better known as Elgiganten. In Finland, the company is famous for its Gigantti brand. Yepzon’s first locator, Yepzon One, has been stocked by Elkjøp since December 2015. The new Yepzon Freedom personal safety alarms will arrive in Elkjøp shops in summer 2016.

“Yepzon Freedom will enter mass production in September but due to great demand we brought the schedule forward and will send out special batches starting this summer. Our Yepzon™ location service has already been localized for the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish markets, and soon these eagerly-anticipated locators will become available to consumers through Elkjøp,” says Mr. Otto Linna, CEO of Yepzon.

In total, the Norwegian Elkjøp Nordic has more than 400 shops and retail operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.

Yepzon’s first locator, Yepzon One, hit the Finnish market in December 2014. Since then, the device has become available in Italy, Spain, Germany, and the US. The device is specifically designed for locating persons but is also widely used by owners of pets and valuable assets.

Launched in the summer, the new Yepzon Freedom is a next-generation personal safety alarm equipped with the most advanced location features in the market.
