“We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons,” said NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke in a statement released Tuesday per The Hollywood Reporter. “They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”
The show premiered in 2011 to less-than-stellar ratings. But over time, “Grimm” grew to find a fan base among lovers of a different kind of fairytale.
“Grimm” is produced by Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner and stars the Grimm, David Giuntoli. This past season finds his character, Nick, protecting his child with the monster, Adalind (Claire Coffee). The show also stars Bitsie Tulloch, Sasha Roiz, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Russell Hornsby and Bree Turner.
Ratings for “Grimm” this season remains steady at 6.4 million viewers a week, but it retained most of its demographic in the time-shifted airings. The show is also a favorite among upscale viewers, per Deadline.
