‘Beauty and the Beast’ Live Action: Sample Luke Evans’ Take On Gaston In His Sing-Off With Hugh Jackman [VIDEO]

Luke_Evans_SDCC_2014“Beauty and the Beast” isn’t coming to theaters in 2017, but Luke Evans, who plays Gaston in the live action movie, showed off why he’s the right choice for the part. The actor was a recent guest on a British talk show hosted by Jonathan Rosse and he had a sing-off with Hugh Jackman.

Jackman played the same role when “Beauty and the Beast” went in production on Broadway and in this impromptu number, the two Gastons belted out the most appropriate song – “Gaston”- which is about the macho villain. The moment, although brief, was so fun that even “Eddie and the Eagle” star Taron Egerton couldn’t help but join in.

“Beauty and the Beast” stars Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast. It will also feature Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette,  Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Maurice and Broadway Audra McDonald as Garderobe.

Filming for the movie finished last year and it’s now going through post-production. The musical film is coming in March next year.

Can’t wait for you to be our guest.
