‘Bones’ Star React To Final Season Renewal

800px-Emily_Deschanel_(3753559769)“Bones” is officially getting its final season next year and its stars, Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz issued statements thanking fans for its long run despite the show ending.

“I am thrilled the show will have the ending it deserves for all of our amazing, loyal fans!,” said Deschanel via TV Line. The actress played the lead and title character Bones for 12 seasons. On Twitter, the actress also expressed her gratitude to the show’s followers. “Thank you for the most loyal, dedicated and kind fans in the world! We couldn’t have done any of this without you! We are so lucky to have had the talented writers, producers, directors, fellow actors, crew members we have had on @BONESonFOX thank you all.”

Her co-star Boreanaz was more specific about thanking the people he has worked with.  “Thank you to [executive producers] Hart [Hanson], Stephen [Nathan], Ian [Toynton], Michael [Peterson] and Jonathan [Collier]. Also to the crew and cast for their countless support along the way! And I couldn’t have done it without you, Emily!” read the actor’s statement.

“This is for the fans! Thank you to everyone at Fox and of course [network co-chairmen] Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman] — for all your support,” Boreanaz words concluded.

Meanwhile, the show’s executive producers also expressed similar sentiments for the renewal and ending. “We can now write the most rewarding Season 11 finale possible—one we hope will leave our fans excited for what’s to come in this final season of Bones,” said Jonathan Collier and Michael Peterson in a statement according to E! Online.

On Thursday, Feb. 25, Fox confirmed that the show’s upcoming season will be its last.
