’12 Monkeys’ Season 2 Teaser: Cole and Cassie Travel to 1940s

The sci-fi thriller “12 Monkeys” is returning for a second season in April 18 and in line with this, a new teaser has been released. It features Cole and Cassie in the 1940s.

Last we saw the two leads, Cassie was heading to 2043 in the first season finale to rendezvous with Cole. The teaser shows Jones warning someone that the Axis organization must be defeated. “If they succeed, all of humanity will collapse into itself,” Jones said.

Produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Atlas Entertainment, Syfy’s critically-acclaimed time-travel thriller 12 Monkeys will return for a second season on Monday, April 18 at 9PM ET/PT. This all-new 13-episode season will air Mondays, with Aaron Stanford (James Cole), Amanda Schull (Dr. Cassandra Railly), Kirk Acevedo (Ramse), Emily Hampshire (Jennifer Goines), Barbara Sukowa (Katarina Jones) and Todd Stashwick (Deacon) reprising their roles.

12 Monkeys follows the journey of Cole, a time traveler sent back in time from a dark, hellish future to prevent it from ever happening. Joining forces in the present with Dr. Railly, Cole must defeat a centuries-old malevolent organization known as the Army of the 12 Monkeys. As Cole, Railly and their unlikely allies get closer to the truth, they’ll learn there are deadly consequences for all of history … and time itself.

Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett (“Nikita”) are executive producers and showrunners, with Charles Roven (Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad, American Hustle, The Dark Knight Trilogy) and Richard Suckle (Suicide Squad, American Hustle, The International) as executive producers. Atlas Entertainment and Roven produced the original film of 12 Monkeys, which starred Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt and Madeline Stowe, on which the series is based.
