Globe restores mobile services in Catarman, Northern Samar
Company at full blast to restore cell sites affected by Typhoon Nona
Globe Telecom restored mobile services in Catarman, Northern Samar following heavy damage to the area brought about by strong winds of Typhoon Nona.
The company is now at full blast to bring up cell sites adversely affected by the typhoon. Minimal service disruptions were monitored in some areas in Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas. Most of these service disruptions were due to power outages and transmission issues brought about by strong winds.
“Our technical teams are rushing to recover cell sites and restore mobile services in areas adversely impacted by the typhoon to help facilitate relief and rehabilitation efforts for affected communities,” Tan said.
Meanwhile, Globe has expanded deployment of Libreng Charging operations and is now providing the service in 25 different locations in Northern Samar, identified as follows: Brgy. Bankerohan in Catarman; Poblacion in Catarman; Brgy. Da-o in Gamay; Dolores cor. Kinabrahan St. in Allen; Sitio Balud, Brgy Eco in Mondragon; Poblacion in San Roque; Balite in San Jose; Ballete Drive, Brgy. Sta Clara in Bobon; Brgy. Burgos in Mapanas; Sitio Tabok. Poblacion in Las Navas; Oraldino St. Bgy II in San Antonio; Lapinig; Brgy Guibuangan in Catubig;
San Isidro St. in Biri; Poblacion in San Isidro; Brgy Caburian in Lavezarez; San Miguel Hieghts in Lao-ang; Sumuroy Rd., Brgy Tinampo in Palapag; Brgy. Libertad in Victoria; Poblacion in Pambujan; Poblacion in Mapanas; Brgy., 4 Bantolinao in Rosario; Brgy 1 Poblacion in Catubig;
