The award-winning Amazon Prime TV series about a transgender parent is returning for its second season on Dec. 11 and a new teaser to welcome the show back was just released by the streaming site.

Show creator Jill Soloway describes season 2 as wild. “Now that the bubble wrap is off, it’s time for the whole family to transition. Our Pfeffermans realize they must give up their disguises, unspoken arrangements and secrets. By exploring their shared history and legacy, they come to understand that you can’t go forward without knowing where you come from. Ultimately, everyone will open their hearts, advertise their desires, and test those notoriously wobbly boundaries as each Pfefferman tries their hardest to come out — as themselves,” said Soloway via Variety.

“Transparent” stars Jeffrey Tambor as Maura, who finally opens up in public about becoming a woman. Also in the cast are Judith Light, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass and Gaby Hoffmann, who will be joined by guest stars like Kathryn Hahn, Rob Huebel, Carrie Brownstein, Alexandra Billings, Tig Notaro, Alex MacNicoll, Trace Lysette, Melora Hardin, Michaela Watkins, Emily Robinson and Bradley Whitford.

Angelica Houston and Cheryl Jones are also be dropping in on the second season, according to TV Line.

The show won the Best Television Comedy plum at the recent Golden Globe Awards while Jeffrey Tambor won various awards for his role as a transgender, including the Emmys.

Amazon Prime will be releasing the full second season in one blow on its premiere date.
