‘Jessica Jones’ New Teaser Release; Show Premieres On Netflix Nov. 20 (WATCH)

Jessica_Jones_-_Logo“Jessica Jones” is coming to Netflix in about 10 days and today, the streaming site unleashes the second trailer for the much-awaited female superhero series.

The show is the second live-action program based on a Marvel comic book, with “Daredevil” first released last year.  The streaming giant is set to release Marvel’s “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” next, too.

“Jessica Jones” stars Krysten Ritter and will also include David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval.  It will follow the life of one of Marvel’s most popular female character in the last decade as she battles demons all around her. The show will be a 13-episode feature just like “Daredevil.”

Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight”, “Dexter”) and Liz Friedman (“Elementary”), along with Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.

The Hollywood Reporter already posted its early reviews of the show that says, in part: “Daredevil garnered the best reviews of Marvel’s TV productions because of the show’s grounded placement in a post-Avengers NYC and also because of its complicated and human depiction of its lead. That show’s provocative Catholic view of the superhero landscape is nicely paralleled by the steely feminism of Jessica Jones, a moodier companion to what DC’s Supergirl is doing over on CBS. Daredevil also earned raves for its action scenes and fight choreography, which won’t be where Jessica Jones wins plaudits, since there’s a big difference between the hand-to-hand intimacy used by the only-slightly enhanced Matt Murdock and the gifts wielded by Jessica and Luke.”
