‘Constantine’ Lives in the ‘Arrow;’ Matt Ryan to Guest Star in The CW Series
His TV show “Constantine” may have been scrapped by NBC but Matt Ryan is still going to play the role as the actor will make a guest appearance on The CW series “Arrow” this coming season.
According to CNN, Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine in the fifth episode of “Arrow” season 4.
“We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired,” said the show’s executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, via a press release. “The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to Arrow and the CW’s DC universe. It will be a well-deserved tip of the hat to all the Constantine fans who were so incredibly supportive of that series.”
Meanwhile, the actor posted a video on his Twitter about his guest stint in the comic book series, saying that he is looking forward to it.
Ryan’s “Constantine” debuted in February, but due to low ratings, the series was cancelled in May, despite the rumors that the show will be moved to another network. Ryan’s appearance in “Arrow” is, for now, set as a one time deal.
Arrow’s will return for its brand new season on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
