PBA Governors Cup: RoS repulses Globalport, 119-112

Dubai – The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters survived a 40-point effort from Terrence Romeo, hacking out a 119-112 victory over the stubborn Globalport Batang Pier quintet over at the Al Shabab Club in Dubai.

The victory was the first one for the Elasto Painters in the ongoing PBA Governors Cup. The loss was the second in five games for Globalport who are now in solo third in the PBA standings.

The Rain or Shine held a 66-49 lead at the half and weathered multiple rallies by Globalport anchored on Romeo and new import Jarrid Famous. The third canto ended with the lead whittled down to 8, still in favor of the Elasto Painters.

JR Quinahan, who was adjudged as the best player of the game hit timely shots, together with Jericho Cruz and Wendell Mckines. Quinahan ended up with 24 points.

The Elasto Painters will have little time to rest as they face the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings next at the Al Shabab Al Arabi Club, winding up the PBA offering in Dubai.
