Captain America 3: Agent 13 returns for Civil War
Emily VanCamp is to star in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
The 28-year-old actress has confirmed she will reprise her role as Agent 13 in the forthcoming Marvel sequel, and is “really excited” to start shooting next week.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Weekly’, she said: “I’m actually heading to start filming next week. I can’t tell you where, when, how – I don’t want to get in trouble! But I’m really excited about it. It’s going to be fun, it’s gonna be pretty epic.”
Emily will star alongside Chris Evans in the titular role, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen plus Martin Freeman, who was recently confirmed for an undisclosed part.
Her character – also known as Sharon Carter – starred briefly in ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier’ as Captain America’s next door neighbour, and was tasked by the S.H.I.E.L.D agency to protect the superhero.
While, in the comic book series she is referred to as Sharon, the film has not mentioned her real name before.
Emily’s storyline in the new movie – which will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo – is being kept a secret by the producers.
‘Captain America: Civil War’ is set for release in April 2016.
