GAC Philippines just earned a seat at the table with the biggest names in the local car industry. The automaker has been officially welcomed as a member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the country’s premier automotive organization — a milestone that puts GAC in direct collaboration with the stakeholders shaping national policies, programs and standards for the Philippine auto sector.

The move caps off a year of major changes for GAC Philippines, which has spent 2026 rebuilding its local presence from the ground up under a bold new brand strategy.

A Strategic Reset Fuels GAC’s Rise

Earlier in 2026, GAC Philippines completed a strategic reorganization, transitioning into a wholly owned local subsidiary under GAC International. That reset laid the groundwork for the company’s re-entry into the market, anchored by its “ONE GAC” brand philosophy, a move that unifies GAC MOTOR, AION and HYPTEC under a single, integrated banner.

By centralizing operations, GAC now delivers a consistent standard across sales, service and customer experience. The unified structure also lets the company showcase its diverse, high-tech product portfolio, giving Filipino customers faster parts availability, optimized aftersales support and tighter coordination across its nationwide dealer network.

Steven Wang, Senior Vice President of GAC International, called the CAMPI membership a pivotal chapter for the company. “Joining CAMPI is a significant honor and a pivotal chapter for our operations. We are eager to leverage this partnership to accelerate our growth in the Philippine market,” Wang said. “As we continue re-consolidating our presence in the country, this membership underscores our deep-rooted commitment to providing Filipinos with world-class engineering and a comprehensive, future-ready automotive experience.”

Two Decades of Engineering Muscle Behind the Brand

GAC’s push into the Philippine market isn’t coming out of nowhere. The company has leveraged 20 years of collaboration with Toyota and Honda to emerge as a dominant force in automotive technology, building a legacy of world-class manufacturing and hybrid expertise that GAC says ensures every vehicle meets the most stringent quality and performance benchmarks. By blending international engineering with localized precision, GAC is positioning its lineup to meet the durability demands of Filipino drivers.

That engineering pedigree is backed by what the company calls a “zero-anxiety” ownership experience, supported by a growing nationwide network of 30 dealerships, a dedicated parts warehouse and comprehensive aftersales support. Internal combustion vehicles come with warranties of up to five years or 150,000 km, while EV models get an eight-year or 160,000-km warranty, plus an eight-year or 200,000-km warranty on the core three-electric system. Every new owner also receives two years of free roadside assistance.

With CAMPI membership now in hand and its ONE GAC strategy rolling out nationwide, GAC Philippines appears set on turning its comeback into a long-term push for market share.
