SOTA HANAMURA has officially stepped into a new artistic phase with the release of his Pre-Debut Album “ASCEEENSION,” unveiled on June 3. Known globally as a member of Da-iCE, he now positions this project as the beginning of a solo identity rather than a continuation of his group work.

The release reflects a deliberate artistic reset, with HANAMURA presenting the project as a symbolic transformation rather than a standard debut record. Across 13 tracks, including bonus material, the album highlights his evolution as a vocalist, songwriter, and producer.

A Pre-Debut Reinvention

“ASCEEENSION” serves as a carefully constructed statement of intent, showcasing HANAMURA’s desire to redefine his musical direction. The project blends his own creative input with contributions from respected Japanese artists across the industry.

Tracks such as “Me.exe,” “To you,” “We Got This,” and “Ienai” demonstrate a wide emotional and stylistic range. Each collaboration adds a different layer to the album’s identity while maintaining a cohesive artistic vision.

The lead track “Lose” expands the album’s narrative through a funk-influenced sound that explores emotional surrender in romantic relationships. Its lyrical perspective reframes vulnerability as something expressive rather than weakening.

Budokan Solo Milestone

Following the album release, SOTA HANAMURA is preparing for his first solo tour, which will begin later this June. The tour will conclude with a landmark performance at Nippon Budokan on August 17, marking a major milestone in his solo career.

The Budokan show carries additional significance as it comes just one day after a performance by Natural Lag, a group in which HANAMURA is also involved. This scheduling highlights the scale of his artistic range across multiple musical identities.

As “ASCEEENSION” sets the foundation for his solo path, HANAMURA continues to expand his creative footprint. The project signals not just a debut, but a reinvention that positions him for a new phase of artistic growth.
