Surfshark has rolled out a major user interface expansion for iOS users with the launch of its Antiscam Hub, a dedicated space within the Surfshark app designed to centralize personal protection tools against modern online scams.

The new interface brings together multiple cybersecurity features into a single, unified dashboard, aiming to simplify how users defend themselves against phishing attempts, identity fraud, and other forms of social engineering attacks that increasingly rely on human manipulation rather than traditional software exploits.

The company said the redesign is intended to address what it describes as the “human exploitation” gap in cybersecurity, where attackers target user behavior, trust, and exposed personal data instead of technical vulnerabilities.

Unified protection system

The Antiscam Hub consolidates five core tools into one interface: Personal Email Masking, Alternative Number, Dark Web Monitoring, Unsafe Site Blocking, and Identity Theft Coverage.

These features allow users to mask personal contact details, monitor potential data leaks, block malicious websites, and access financial and counseling support in cases of identity compromise, all within a streamlined experience on iOS.

Surfshark said the goal is to reduce reliance on multiple standalone services while improving user awareness of personal exposure to cyber threats.

Company perspective on rising scams

Gabriele Sinkeviciute, Surfshark’s head of product, said online threats are evolving rapidly, pointing to a sharp increase in scam activity and phishing attempts that directly target users.

She noted that the company’s unsafe site blocking feature alone detected and blocked nearly 1.2 million phishing and malware sites in the past month, highlighting the scale and persistence of the current threat landscape.

Sinkeviciute added that simplifying access to protective tools has become increasingly important as scams grow more sophisticated and harder for everyday users to identify.

Future expansion plans

Surfshark said the Antiscam Hub will initially be piloted on iOS to gather user feedback before expanding to other platforms.

The company also plans to develop the hub into a broader scam protection ecosystem, with additional tools and features expected in future updates as part of its efforts to strengthen user defenses against evolving cyber threats.
