Atarayo welcomes spring with their newest single, “Spring Is Coming (春となり)”. Featured as an insert song in the nationwide release of The Dangers in My Heart, the track combines medium-tempo balladry with lyrical storytelling. It conveys both the literal arrival of spring and the symbolic role of winter as the “season beside spring,” exploring emotions with subtlety and warmth.

The song’s music video follows the emotional journey from Valentine’s Day to White Day. Tender glances, quiet gestures, and a single tear narrate a story of two hearts slowly bridging the distance between them without words. Through this visual storytelling, the song extends its impact beyond melody to a narrative experience.

The band’s music continues to resonate with domestic and international audiences.

Music video captures tender young love

Director Udo described the concept behind the music video: “The MV portrays a White Day when the two have not fully expressed their feelings. I reflected on their relationship in the girl’s tears. I hope viewers enjoy imagining the emotions and stories behind each moment.” The focus on unspoken emotions gives the visuals a gentle, relatable intensity that complements the song’s lyrical depth.

Scenes throughout the video emphasize subtle cues, from fleeting glances to small gestures, creating a sense of anticipation and emotional resonance. The combination of dynamic melody, heartfelt lyrics, and intimate visuals highlights Atarayo’s ability to convey nuanced stories through music.

This release marks Atarayo’s second collaboration with The Dangers in My Heart, following their 2024 TV anime Season 2 opening theme “(I Am…)『僕は…』”. Both tracks demonstrate the band’s knack for merging J-pop sensibilities with narrative-driven anime projects, reinforcing their relevance in contemporary Japanese pop culture.

Rising presence in Japan and overseas
