Singapore’s iconic Sports Hub has entered a new chapter, officially rebranding as The Kallang. The precinct, overseen by The Kallang Group, will continue to manage world-class sporting, entertainment, lifestyle, and community events under its refreshed identity.

The launch, held at the Bank of Singapore Lounge at the National Stadium, saw Chairman Keith Magnus and CEO Quek Swee Kuan unveil the new name to staff, stakeholders, and partners. The change reflects a commitment to building a vibrant destination where memorable moments are created across all pillars of activity.

A legacy of sport and community

The Kallang name embodies Singapore’s collective sporting pride, having hosted legendary moments like the “Kallang Roar” and “Kallang Wave.” Since the government takeover in 2022, the precinct has delivered over 4,000 event days, attracting more than nine million visitors, including world-class competitions like the World Aquatics Championships and concerts by global artists.

The precinct continues to engage communities with programmes such as the National School Games, Majulah Fiesta, GetActive!, and ONE Countdown. Paralympian Yip Pin Xiu highlighted The Kallang’s role as a home for athletes and iconic sporting moments, while APG President Charles Hsiung praised its multifunctional capability and ability to inspire fans.

Enhancing experiences and building for the future

The Kallang Group is rolling out infrastructure enhancements, including alfresco dining, sheltered padel courts, family-friendly zones, and improved climbing and bouldering facilities. Countdown 2026 will be its first signature event under the new identity, featuring Super Junior and Singapore’s longest countdown fireworks across four chapters.

A new initiative, The Kallang Pass, will offer participants a chance to attend multiple events in 2026. The precinct’s upgrades aim to elevate experiences while fostering inclusivity and social impact through partnerships with over 100 charities, volunteer programmes, and community-driven initiatives.
