Wild Rift marks 5-year milestone with NINGNING anthem, new content and global esports push
League of Legends: Wild Rift is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a slate of new content, special events, and a standout musical collaboration featuring aespa’s NINGNING. The milestone highlights five years of community growth, champion evolution, and mobile MOBA competition across the globe.
The anniversary anthem, titled “Miss This Life,” debuts across in-game platforms and streaming services. Performed by NINGNING, the electro-pop track mirrors a player’s journey from student life to adulthood, reflecting the progression and emotional connection many players share with Wild Rift and its champions.
Music spotlight and new champion debut
The accompanying music video showcases memorable champion moments, emotional flashbacks, and community nostalgia. It captures how player stories and gameplay triumphs evolve over time — a theme echoed in the song’s lyrics and tone.
Meanwhile, Riot Games has officially added Nidalee to the Wild Rift champion roster. Known for her signature spear throws and shapeshifting mobility, the huntress brings a fast-paced jungle dynamic to the game starting today.
Anniversary events and global competition
Alongside the musical campaign, the anniversary rollout includes an AAARAM mode update featuring pro-inspired Augments. Riot is also expanding Wild Rounds: SMASH, its grassroots competitive series that spans more than 20 regions and showcases thousands of emerging talents worldwide. The next leg of the competition takes place in Vietnam from November 14–16.
