Ibex secures TESDA EBET accreditation in Central Visayas
Ibex has secured Enterprise-Based Education and Training accreditation from TESDA, officially becoming the first and only enterprise in Central Visayas to receive this recognition. The milestone underscores the company’s effort to support talent development and strengthen the workforce in Bohol.
The program is being carried out through a collaboration between ibex’s Talent Acquisition, Training, and Operations teams and the national agency overseeing technical and skills development. The partnership aims to elevate local opportunities while aligning training with industry needs.
“This partnership with TESDA is a testament to ibex’s long-standing commitment to the Bohol community and our dedication to developing world-class Filipino talent,” said Potski Alvarez, President of ibex Philippines. He emphasized the company’s role as the first BPO established in Bohol and highlighted its continued investment in regional growth.

Training to build future-ready skills
The EBET accreditation follows the passage of the Enterprise-Based Education and Training Framework Act earlier this year. The law focuses on strengthening cooperation between government, training institutions, and enterprises to produce a more competitive and future-ready Filipino workforce.
Under the five-year program, ibex is authorized to deliver Contact Center Services Training, addressing gaps in communication, English proficiency, and quality standards essential in the BPO sector. Participants will undergo 144 hours of training and enterprise simulation, receiving nationally recognized TESDA certification upon completion.
Scholarships, including fully covered tuition and allowances, will be available for qualified enrollees. Alvarez noted that ibex’s strong workforce and operations across ten Philippine sites reflect its ongoing commitment to innovation, employee engagement, and world-class performance.
