The wait is finally over. Paledusk has released the full version of “HUGs,” the explosive anime opening for Gachiakuta—and it’s already being hailed as their next “masterpiece.” Premiering as a short TV-size teaser with the anime’s debut on 6 July, the complete track is now out, clocking in at 5 minutes and 33 seconds of raw, unfiltered sonic energy.

A new chapter begins for Paledusk

Known for their genre-smashing fusion of brutal riffs and glossy pop flourishes, the Fukuoka-born four-piece continues to defy classification. “HUGs” is more than just a song—it’s a sonic storm engineered to match the chaotic intensity and emotional gravity of Gachiakuta itself. The track was specially commissioned by manga creator Kei Urana and graffiti designer Hideyoshi Andou, making it a deeply personal extension of the anime’s narrative and visual world.

“HUGs” also marks a milestone for the band as their first release under a major label. The physical CD will drop on 17 September in two versions: a standard edition and a deluxe first press that includes LP-size jacket art and Gachiakuta-themed trading cards. Fans can look forward to original character illustrations of the band by Urana himself—a collector’s dream for anime and music fans alike.

Paledusk hits the road with PALEGALAXY vol.2

To celebrate the release, Paledusk will kick off their “PALEGALAXY vol.2” Japan tour this September, with guest performances from Polaris and Knosis. Tickets are already on sale, adding to the growing buzz around the band’s biggest chapter yet.

With Gachiakuta airing weekly, the full version of “HUGs” now unleashed, and a music video coming soon, Paledusk is ready to shake the scene once more.
