Sony Philippines launched the WH-1000XM6 at Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, showcasing the brand’s latest innovation in noise-canceling audio through a vibrant celebration of music, fashion, and tech culture.

The all-day event brought together fans, creators, and industry insiders for a showcase that underscored Sony’s continued pursuit of excellence in both design and user experience.

Sony Reinforces Vision of Entertainment Through Innovation

Sony Philippines President and Managing Director Shuhei Sugihara opened the program with an emphasis on Sony’s broader identity beyond electronics.

“Sony is not just a retail electronics company but a Creative Entertainment Company,” Sugihara said. “With technology and innovation, we aim to unleash KANDO across gaming, electronics, music, movies, and imaging.”

Marketing Director Kentaro Imamura followed with a focus on the product’s design intent and branding. “For The Music is our campaign to bring people closer to the music they love while supporting the Filipino music scene,” Imamura said, positioning the WH-1000XM6 as a flagship product that reflects lifestyle, fashion, and performance.

WH-1000XM6: Smarter Listening, Elevated Style

At the core of the launch was the unveiling of the WH-1000XM6. This new model builds on the success of its predecessor with upgrades in noise-canceling performance, battery life, and ergonomic design.

With up to 30 hours of playtime, adaptive sound control, a more refined lightweight structure, and next-generation QN3 processing, the WH-1000XM6 is tailored for creators, commuters, and listeners seeking a top-tier wireless experience.

Music, Fashion, and Creative Synergy

Performances throughout the day highlighted Sony’s message of integrating technology and creativity. Japanese influencer and performer FuMi opened the stage with a high-energy set, followed by singer-songwriter Syd Hartha, whose music was paired with a laid-back fashion segment.

Later, OPM icon Barbie Almalbis took audiences on a nostalgic ride through early 2000s hits, while closing act Lola Amour delivered a dynamic finale paired with bold fashion styling.

A panel discussion hosted by Aiyana Perlas featured Sony ambassadors Janina Manipol, Iggy Miranda, James Deakin, Coach Abby Maravilla, syd hartha, and Lola Amour.

The conversation explored how the WH-1000XM6 integrates into their diverse routines. “The WH-1000XM6 adapts to every sound around me,” said Janina. “It doesn’t just cancel noise—it transforms the experience.”
