Metro Pacific Tollways South rolls out “Drayberks: Ready 4 Safety” for safer roads nationwide

Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) commemorated Road Safety Month by launching its latest advocacy, “Drayberks: Ready 4 Safety,” during a ceremony at Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City. Over 100 stakeholders from both public and private sectors gathered to support the campaign focused on building safer roads across the Philippines.

The event featured strong participation from national agencies such as the Department of Transportation, Toll Regulatory Board, Land Transportation Office, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. Local government units from Metro Manila and CALABARZON, including representatives from Taguig, Parañaque, Pasay, and Bacoor, also joined the celebration.

Broad Support from Transport and Advocacy Groups

Major transport and terminal partners, including Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange and One Ayala Terminal, attended alongside bus companies, jeepney groups, UV organizations, and logistics associations. This wide participation reflects the unified commitment toward improving road safety through collaboration.

MPTC President and CEO Jose Ma. K. Lim delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the vital role of expressway operators in promoting safety beyond infrastructure development. He emphasized that working together with government, private partners, and communities is key to progress in road safety.

The Drayberks: Ready 4 Safety Campaign

Led by MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Arlette V. Capistrano, the refreshed campaign builds on the successful 2018 Drayberks program. Now in its sixth year and a Bronze Stevie® Award recipient, the campaign updates driver education modules focused on responsible driving, expressway rules, vehicle inspection, and road discipline.

The event ended with participants reciting the Drayberks Pledge, led by MPT South OIC Elnora D. Rumawak, symbolizing collective dedication to safe driving. This pledge signing united government agencies, transport groups, and local leaders under a shared mission.
