The Finnish technology company Yepzon has landed a distribution contract with Ayana Navigation Solutions, an Indian company specializing in navigation and multimedia solutions. The contract allows Yepzon, a GPS location service and equipment provider, to open a new production line in New Delhi.

The distribution contract with Ayana Navigation Solutions (ANS) and the new production line in New Delhi will support Yepzon to meet its growth targets and open the doors to India’s massive inner market. Yepzon’s product manufacture in Finland will remain unchanged.

“Opening a production line in India will give us access to India’s vast market with over a billion consumers. Furthermore, India’s low expense levels and quick product development will give us a competitive edge on the global market. We will be able to launch a new consumer product to global mass production very quickly, within 3 months,” says Yepzon’s Otto Linna.

ANS has developed numerous solutions for the global navigation market, tailored for the needs of the automotive industry, companies, as well as private consumers. ANS’s partners include such heavyweights as Volkswagen, Toyota Tsusho, TomTom and Blaupunkt.

“In the coming years, the potential of Yepzon’s current and future products in India alone is tens of thousands of devices, especially for children and women,” says Amit Sharma, Sales and Business Development Director at ANS.

Yepzon will launch a new-generation personal security device this summer, combining both alarm and locator functionalities. This fall, the company will introduce a new location and shipment-tracking service for the industrial and logistics sectors.

“We are in the middle of great investments, supported by a current share issue in Finland,” Mr. Linna continues.

Yepzon Oy’s share issue will be realized in tandem with Innovestor Oy, a company specializing in start-up funding.
