‘Castle’ Stana Katic Fired: Tension With Nathan Fillion? Molly Quin Reacts To Backlash
A slew of “Castle” fans cannot accept that Stana Katic (Kate Beckett) is not returning to the show next season and they have taken to Twitter to express their disgust. While some have declared they will be boycotting the series, Molly Quinn, the actress who plays Castle’s daughter, reminded them what the show is about.
“It’ll be different, way way way different, but it is #Castle @NathanFillion IS Castle,” Quinn said in her tweet. She also said that she’s “heartbroken” by Katic’s departure. ABC announced this week that the actress, along with co-star Tamala Jones, were cut because of budget reasons. However, the network has yet to actually renew the series for Season 9.

Nathan Fillion, the star of “Castle,” didn’t immediately have a statement after the network said it won’t have Katic back and it’s been reported by Us Weekly that there was actually tension on the set between the two lead stars.
“Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion completely despise each other. They will not speak when they are off set, and this has been going on for seasons now,” an insider told the news outlet. The two were apparently asked to get into couple’s counseling. They have been working side-by-side for eight seasons.
Meanwhile, Fillion finally stated in a Twitter post that he thanks having the chance to work with Stana Katic and wishes her well.
