ONE OR EIGHT did not film a typical anime tie-in video. The eight-member group split into three teams and traveled through Mongolia, Thailand and Turkey for “Yellow Brick Road,” before reuniting in Japan for the finale.

The song is the ending theme for Season 2 of the Black Clover anime, which premiered in Japan on Oct. 3. The single was released digitally Oct. 7 and is the group’s first song sung in Japanese.

The video is built as a road movie under the concept “This is our journey around the world.” Filmed in Mongolia, Thailand, Turkey and Japan, it follows the eight members as they split into three teams.

YUGA, REIA and TAKERU cross Mongolia’s grasslands and sand dunes, while MIZUKI, SOUMA and TSUBASA explore Thailand’s lakes. NEO and RYOTA stand before the rock formations of Cappadocia in Turkey.

Candid moments between stops show a more relaxed side of the members away from the stage. The journey ends in Japan, where all eight reunite and walk forward together, underscoring the video’s message about shared paths.

“Yellow Brick Road” Is ONE OR EIGHT’s First Japanese-Language Song for Black Clover Season 2

Written for Black Clover Season 2, the ballad centers on pursuing dreams alongside friends through uncertainty and struggle. That mirrors Asta, the anime’s hero, who keeps moving forward despite being born without magic.

The theme also reflects the group’s own motto, “BET ON YOURSELF.” MIZUKI said he felt honored to perform the ending theme, noting that he has read the manga since it began serialization.

The Asia run, titled ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOW CASE 2026 in ASIA -V8-, begins in Singapore on Oct. 21. Manila follows on Oct. 23 and Bangkok on Oct. 25, with Hong Kong and Taipei also confirmed, according to the group’s announcement.
