Stage Tour Legacy Instrument Support: Which Old Guitar and Drum Controllers Work

On PC, “Stage Tour” supports more than 50 guitar controllers and 20 drum kits dating to 2006, according to RedOctane. That includes instruments from the “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” eras, plus modern PDP Riffmaster and CRKD guitar controllers.

On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game supports select instruments from current and previous console generations. RedOctane lists “Rock Band 4” guitars and drums, PDP Riffmaster and CRKD Gibson controllers.

Players without a plastic guitar can use the new Arcade 4-Lane and Arcade 5-Lane instrument types on a standard gamepad or gaming keyboard. According to the studio, every launch track is playable at all difficulty levels.

Up to four players can team up locally, online or through cross-platform multiplayer, using any mix of supported instruments and input methods. RedOctane says compatibility testing continues, with updates at StageTour.com.

Stage Tour Setlist, Tour Mode and Kramer Guitar Bundle Details

The game features more than 90 songs spanning six decades, according to RedOctane. Acts named include The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Radiohead, The Cure, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mötley Crüe, Paramore and Olivia Rodrigo.

So far, 61 tracks have been revealed through the “Stage Tour” Setlist Reveal series, with more planned before launch. RedOctane has not yet shared the full list.

Tour, a roguelite-inspired single-player campaign, takes players from small stages to sold-out arenas. Players earn Stars to buy Effect Pedals and Consumables, but failing a song sends them back to the start.
