GXI, First Performance Global partner to launch mobile app in PH for greater user security and purchase control
G-Xchange (GXI), a subsidiary of Mynt, a wholly-owned financial services subsidiary of Globe Telecom that operates the telecom’s flagship mobile commerce product GCash, has entered into a partnership with First Performance Global, an international platform provider, to launch GogoNogo, a mobile security app that allows users to turn on and turn off payment capabilities of their prepaid, debit or credit cards through their mobile phone, providing for increased user security and purchase control.
The simple, easy-to-navigateGogoNogo self-service security app will give GCash MasterCard holders the ability to personally make decisions on when to “turn on” and “turn off” their prepaid card for payments as well as allow them to control where and how their card can be used to prevent the misuse of a lost or stolen card.
The GogoNogosolution includes the following features: multi-factor authentication;On and Off capability per card and per location; real time reports; self-service customer portal for reports and assistance; transaction alerts and notifications; manual and automatic security account protection; enrolment of multiple cards per user and mobile number. Together, these features are giving users the full security and protection when using GCash MasterCard.

GCash is an internationally-acclaimed micro payment service being enjoyed by millions of Globe subscribers since its launch over a decade ago. It transforms a mobile phone into a mobile wallet for safe, secure, and hassle-free mobile money transactions such as the purchase of prepaid load, bills payment, money remittance, donations, and online shopping.
In 2014, MasterCard licensed GXI to launch GCash MasterCard, giving users access to over 40 million MasterCard merchant locations and ATMs worldwide. GCash MasterCardprovides a powerful tool to consumers in the Philippines by expanding their purchasing capability locally, overseas and in the digital space. Cardholders have multiple options, they can, for example, swipe their cards for shopping and dining or even purchase apps for their smartphones, buy credits for their online games or shop at online retailers and deal sites.
The GCash MasterCard can be purchasedfrom any of the 35 selected Globe Stores nationwide and roving caravans or booths for only P150.[ML1] [ML1] Funds for the card may be loaded at any of the over 11,500 GCash outlets nationwide which include all Globe Stores, 7-11 convenience stores, SM Department Stores, Puregold Supermarkets and pawnshops such as Tambunting and Villarica, among others. In addition, GCash subscribers can also use mobile and online banking to fund their GCash MasterCard.
Through the global extension of a license for its proprietary MasterCard In ControlTM technology, MasterCard has an equity stake in First Performance. As a result, the two companies are collaborating on growing First Performance’s ability to offer payment card issuers and processors self-service tools for cardholders.
