NBA: Nikola Jokic tests positive for COVID-19; US return delayed
Denver Nuggets all-star center Nikola Jokic tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), an online report confirmed.
The Serbian center reportedly is asymptomatic. Due to the development, Jokic will have to delay his plans of returning to United States soil.
As per protocols, the 7-foot center has to test negative twice before being given travel clearance.
Once in the United States, Jokic must once again test negative before resuming action with the Nuggets.
The big man is averaging 20.2 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 6.9 APG in 65 games for the Nuggets this season.
The Nuggets have a 43-22 record so far, good for 3rd in the Western Conference.
The NBA season will return on July 31st in Orlando, Florida.
