Sofi Tukker Unveils One-of-a-Kind Gibson Guitars on Tour

Sofi Tukker‘s Sophie Hawley-Weld is turning her ANIMAL TALK Tour into a rolling guitar reveal. The Grammy-nominated artist will unveil eight one-of-one Gibson Flying V guitars one by one, performing live with each new design as it drops.

The collaboration between Sofi Tukker and Gibson pairs the brand’s iconic Flying V silhouette with the duo’s bold visual style. Each guitar was built to double as both a stage instrument and a standalone piece of art.

Hawley-Weld Says Flying V Guitars Reflect Her Identity as a Performer

Hawley-Weld said working with Gibson let her put a personal spin on a guitar she has played since Sofi Tukker began. “I’ve been loyal to the Flying V onstage, and over the years it’s become such a part of who I am as a performer,” she said.

She added that each guitar carries its own identity. “Each one has its own personality and story, and I can’t wait for everyone to see them come to life throughout the tour,” Hawley-Weld said.

Rae Vinton of Gibson’s Cultural Influence team praised Hawley-Weld’s creative input on the project. “Sophie brought such a bold, imaginative perspective to every guitar, while embracing the history and unmistakable character of the Gibson Flying V,” Vinton said.

Guitar Auction Will Support Gibson Gives Music Charity

After the tour wraps, a selection of the guitars will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting Gibson Gives, the brand’s philanthropic arm. The organization funds music education, access programs, and wellness initiatives worldwide.

Erica Krusen, executive director of Gibson Gives, said the partnership reflects music’s broader impact beyond performance. “Music has the power to transform lives, strengthen communities, and create meaningful connections,” Krusen said.

Sofi Tukker kicked off the ANIMAL TALK Tour on September 10 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. The tour continues through major U.S. and Mexico stops, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Mexico City.
