Dragon Ball Super Taps VK Blanka for Emotional New Ending Theme
VK Blanka‘s new song has landed a spot most artists only dream of. “Kan Peki No Peki” will serve as the ending theme for “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus” when the anime premieres in Japan.
The premiere is set for October 11 at 11:15 p.m. JST on Fuji TV nationwide. For VK Blanka, the placement carries personal weight tied to his own childhood spent watching the franchise.
A Song Built on Years of Fandom
VK Blanka has built a global following, surpassing 800 million total streams across his catalog. He has also performed at major anime conventions worldwide, from Germany’s AnimagiC to Brazil’s 100,000-strong Anime Friends.
For “Kan Peki No Peki,” he leaned into his own musical identity rather than chasing a typical anime sound. The result blends offbeat lyricism with a polished melody that still feels connected to the world of Dragon Ball.
The artist opened up about what shaped the track. “Dragon Ball has always carried strength and courage, but also the sadness and unfairness that sat quietly behind it,” he said. “I put everything I had inside me into this song, all of it.”
Single Release Details and a Packed Tour Schedule
The single officially drops October 14 across two physical formats: CD+Blu-ray and CD only. The CD version includes three renditions of the track, featuring the original, an English version, and a Phonk version.
The Blu-ray edition adds extra value for fans, featuring live footage from VK Blanka’s “North America & Japan Tour 2025.” That performance was filmed June 24 at Niterra Nippon Special Ceramics Civic Hall, alongside a photo booklet from the same show.
The release lines up with a busy stretch for the singer. He kicks off “VK Blanka Joyride to 10th Tour” on September 19 in Sapporo, with six shows running through late October across Fukuoka, Aichi, Miyagi, Osaka, and Tokyo.
Fans who purchase eligible merchandise during each venue’s advance sales window will also get access to watch the show’s rehearsal. Starting in October, VK Blanka enters his 10th anniversary year, with additional tie-ins and projects already in the works.
