25th Fr. Martin’s Cup: Womens, Juniors Division Final set
It will be an all-UAAP female finale at the 25th Fr. Martin’s Cup Summer League after National University and the University of Santo Tomas defeated their respective opponents in the women’s division.
The UST Tigresses downed the Adamson Lady Falcons, 66-65, a tight battle all throughout before Taki Tacatac made a key triple towards the end of the match.
Tacatac topscored with 13 points while Hazel Panti added 12 markers. Nat Prado fired 32 points in a losing effort for the Lady Falcons.
The Lady Bulldogs advanced when they won over the De La Salle University via forfeit.
In the juniors’ division, the mighty San Beda Red Cubs forged a finals showdown against fellow NCAA squad Arellano Braves.
San Beda edged the La Consolacion College of Manila Junior Blue Royals, 68-60 last Saturday at the LCCM Gym.
Basti Valencia’s led the Red Cubs with 16 points while Ymard Urbano had 20 points to pace LCCM.
In the other pairing, the Braves prevailed against the FEU Baby Tamaraws, 60-55.
Louie Lime scored 12 points, while Rodman Templonuevo added 9 markers.
