Toy Story 4 coming in 2017
Just when everyone thought that Toy Story 3 was the last we have seen of Buzz Lightyear and Woody comes news that Toy Story 4 will actually push through.
However, it will not pick up from the last Toy Story and will rather be a romantic-comedy of sorts.
In summary, it looks like Toy Story 4 will be about romance among the toys. And it will likely be among the remaining characters. Could it be about Buzz and Jessie? If not, there could potentially be a new toy in the mix.
Woody seems to be a character that has no partner, seeing that Bo-Peep was no longer around in Toy Story 3. That is unless the next movie would somehow be a reboot or Bo-Peep for some reason resurfaces.
“It is not a continuation of the end of the story of Toy Story 3.Temporarily it is, but it will be a love story. It will be a romantic comedy. It will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children. I think it will be a very good movie” says Pixar Studio president Jim Morris in an interview with Disney Latino.
For the record, Toy Story 4 is not about the money. This was amply stressed by Morris himself. Rather it was a result of an irresistable idea.
With that said, it seems pretty interesting what Toy Story fans can expect to see. And all that may hinge on the Toy Story writers, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich.
Joining them are Rashida Jones and Will McCormack while Pixar’s Galyn Susman will produce.
Toy Story 4 is still a long way off and is scheduled to hit screens in June, 2017.
