‘The X-Files’ Reboot Casting Update: Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose To Appear on Fox Series As New Agents
“The Flash” recurring guest star Robbie Amell is heading to “The X-Files” reboot along with “Six Feet Under” actress Lauren Ambrose.
The two actors will play FBI sci-fi agents named Miller and Einstein. However, their appearance will only be for one episode. According to Hollywood Life, Miller and Einstein will make their appearance in the limited series’ fourth episode.
Agent Millier is described as “smart” and “smooth,” while Agent Einstein is “sharp” and “confident,” according to Screen Crush.
Could their appearance signal a possible spinoff to the revived series featuring the next generation of agents?
“The X-Files” has already singed on Joel McHale, the star of “Community” and Annet Mahendru from “The Americans” as its other guest stars. McHale’s character is the guy who asks for Mulder and Scully back to investigate the abduction of Mahendru’s character.
Other guest stars include Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani.
The series is set to return on January 2016 on Fox and will star the original leads — David Duchovny as Agent Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Agent Scully.
