PBA: SMB revises offer to Kia with YDO, Ganuelas-Rosser, Tubid and McCarthy
As expected, the San Miguel Beermen have revised their trade offer to Kia Picanto for the rights to the first overall pick of the 2017 PBA Draft.
According to multiple sources, the Beermen are now offering Yancy de Ocampo, Ronald Tubid, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser and Rashawn McCarthy. As mentioned in a previous post, the original players offered were McCarthy, Jay-R Reyes, Keith Agovida and a future first-round pick plus cash considerations.

It remains to be seen if the revised trade will get the approval of current PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa. When word of the trade came out, PBA executives aired concern on the deal and has planned to convene about the matter.
According to Interaksyon, Dickie Bachman of the Alaska Aces questioned the desire of Kia’s desire to be competitive. “Are they here to compete or not?” said Bachman.
The Beermen are obviously eyeing either Fil-German Christian Standhardinger or Kiefer Ravena, two of the top players in the amateur ranks today. Standhardinger is not expected to play until next year since he signed a contract to play for Hong Kong in the Asean Basketball League (ABL).
