‘The Big Bang Theory’ Spinoff Cast Young Sheldon Cooper & His Mom! Prequel Coming In The Fall

The Tangible Affection Proof
The spinoff to “The Big Bang Theory” has finally found its star and it will center on Sheldon Cooper. His younger version will be played by 8-year-old Iain Armitage. His mother will be played by Zoe Perry.

In the original series, which is still airing on CBS and has been renewed for two more seasons, young Sheldon Cooper is played by Jim Parsons. His mother, who occasionally visits her genius son in the long-running CBS hit, is played by Laurie Metcalf. It should be noted that Perry’s real-life mother is Metcalf.

The “Sheldon” spinoff will feature Sheldon’s childhood in Texas before becoming a physicist in California. The show comes from the same team behind the mother series.

Sheldon’s upbringing has been, time and again, discussed on the existing show. From what has been played ou so far, the character had a weird childhood having started college at age 11 as a child genius. Sheldon’s mom is deeply religious and his dad is quite the redneck. He also has a sister named Missy and an older brother named George. They have not yet been featured in the original show.

It’s not clear if anyone from the existing cast will make an appearance, but Parsons is one of the executive producers. “Sheldon” is expected to begin in the fall with a potential for two seasons.
