Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow: ‘He’s like my brother’

421px-Gwyneth_Paltrow_avp_Iron_Man_3_Paris_2Ex-couple Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have remained close since having “consciously uncoupled” two years ago. Now, the actress claims she still sees her former husband as family.

“Even though we don’t have a romantic relationship, he’s like my brother,” Paltrow said in her interview with Glamour.

The actress also dished that they spend time together. “Last night he got in at midnight and slept here so he could surprise the kids in the morning, we could all have breakfast, and he could take them to school,” she further revealed. The couple officially filed for divorce in April 2015. They have two kids, Apple, 11, and Moses, nine.

“We’re not living together, but he’s more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants. And vice versa: I sleep in his house in Malibu a lot with the kids. We’ll have a weekend all together; holidays, we’re together,” said Paltrow.

These days the family is scene throwing all support for Martin, who is scheduled to lead the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in the weekend.  Vanity Fair reported that they are helping calm Martin’s nerves down.

“Dad, the worst that could happen is that you’ll get turned into a meme,” Apple was said to have advised her father.

Martin and his band, Coldplay, will be joined by Beyonce and Bruno Mars. Both artists previously headlined the Super Bowl too.
