Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia To Star Together In Upcoming Dramedy On NBC

Mandy_Moore_-_IMG_0249_(6345152202)NBC is developing a new TV series that will feature all characters with the same birthdays. The dramedy, which will be created by Dan Fogelman, is set for a pilot at the network.

The show will star Mandy Moore (Red Band Society), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), Justin Hartley (Smallville), Sterling Brown, and Ron Cephas Jones (Mr. Robot).

Moore will be playing the role of Rebecca, the wife of Jack, played by Ventimiglia. The couple of have just moved into their new Pittsburg house along with their new babies, a set of triplets.

Hartley will be playing Kevin, a TV actor who is bored with his life as a bachelor, while Brown is Randall, the family man and business guy from New York with a wife and daughters. Jones is Randall’s dad who abandoned him in birth.

According to Variety, there more series regulars are about to be added to the ensemble. No further details have been revealed about the show’s plot and direction.  It’s still unclear what the connection of the characters are besides havig the same birthdays. The pilot episode will begin filming before the years end. If it gets picked up by NBC, all of the actors case will be series regulars.

Show creator Fogelman’s previous works include the comedy series “The Neighbors” and the musical comedy “Galavant.”
