try to send packing again

The Oklahoma City Thunder know that if they allow the Golden State Warriors any form of momentum, their previous 3-1 advantage will be nothing more than numbers.

With the specter of going home in the air at the Oracle Arena, the Warriors lived to fight another day, 120-111. That cut the Thunder series lead to 2-3 and the Warriors can tie it up with a big win over Oklahoma later.

The problem here is that the Warriors haven’t won a game in the Western Conference finals though there is always a first time.

In fact, they could probably follow the lead of the Cleveland Cavaliers who clinched the NBA Eastern Conference after shellacking the Toronto Raptors, 113-87 over at the Air Canada Centre. It was the Cavs lone win of the series so the Warriors can certainly do the same at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

To do that, Steph Curry needs to come out with the same remarkable performance along with Klay Thompson. As in game 5, Draymond Green may want to focus more on the game than his antics if the Warriors want to tie the series and bring the scene back to the Oracle Arena for a deciding game 7.

Green has been a non-factor in the series until last game when he decided to concentrate and do the stuff that helped the Warriors where they are now. Less complaining and less taunting, Green needs to tell himself once again that this is a game and not the WWE.

For the Thunder, they get another chance to finish off the Warriors. They did lose game 5 but the ending showed that the boys of coach Billy Donovan are ready to play until the very end.

The hometown crowd will back the Thunder who will once again be led by their dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. But aside from the two, Donovan needs to will other key players like Serge Ibaka, Dion Waiters and Steven Adams if they want to arrange another showdown with LeBron James and company.

The Oklahoma City Thunder host the Golden State Warriors at the Chesapeake Energy Arena for game 6 of the Western Conference Finals with tip-off set for 9 p.m. E.T. Folks who want to catch the game live online can watch it via live stream here.
