Are the Fab Five back? Netflix has announced the reboot of the style series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” The show, now changed to simply “Queer Eye,” is going to feature new members. The streaming site has not yet announced its release date.

“In a time when America stands divided and the future seems uncertain, a team of five brave men will try to bring us closer together with laughter, heart, and just the right amount of moisturizer,” producers of “Queer Eye” said in a statement. “The Emmy Award-winning Queer Eye is back and ready to Make America Fabulous Again. With a new Fab 5 and the show’s toughest missions to date, Queer Eye moves from the Big Apple to turn the Red States pink — one makeover at a time.”

“Queer Eye” aired on the cable channel Bravo from 2003 to 2007. It featured Ted Allen, Carson Kressley, Kyan Douglas, Jai Rodriguez and Thom Filicia — the five gay men task to teaching straight guys how to find their style and learn social tips.

“Queer Eye” won as the Outstanding Reality Program in 2004 and 2005 in the GLAAD Awards. It will be interesting how Netflix will reboot the show for a new audience as the makeover series had been regarded as groundbreaking during its run.
