iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Rumors: Both variants to feature dual-lens camera

Apple will likely unveil its next iPhone flagship this coming September though the word out is that the iPhone 7 or even the iPhone 7 Plus will be coming out with minimal changes.

Rumors have it that Apple will be holding back on a phone re-design, much of which will be seen in 2017 with the presumed iPhone 8. So does this mean that Apple folks should forget about getting an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus?

While that sounds like a logical move, such is unlikely to happen. The sales could be lower compared to previous iPhone releases but the fact is that there are customers who still want to get hold of one – even with minimal changes in tow. Such is unlikely to push the Cupertino’s company fortunes as far as jacking up sales is concerned.

Nevertheless, what are folks supposed to expect this September? The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are likely to come with a new chip to support its components while the overall aesthetics will not offer major changes and may in fact come out looking like an offshoot of the iPhone 6 series.

Aside from the processor, how about the camera? Original plans claim that Apple would release the iPhone 7 with a regular rear camera while the iPhone 7 Plus will feature a dual rear camera.

But the latest word on that is that Apple may eventually come out with dual-lens camera modules for both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with optical image stabilization (OIS).

Chris Chang of Nomura Securities has issued a note to investors that Apple is looking at LG as an alternative supplier with Sony seemingly falling behind on deliveries.

If the plan to have the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus phones armed with dual-lens cameras is true, this will indeed pose a problem especially with the debut date fast approaching.

Could these (minor) changes be enough to woo in customers to get the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus this September?
