The show, which is set to begin production in September in New York, centers of the members who are involved in a charismatic cult.

Dancy will play the role of Cal Roberts who is the leader of the organization. His character will become involved with two members of his cult, a husband and wife.

Dancy casting announcement boosts a cast that already has stellar actors like Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”) and Michelle Monaghan (“True Detective”), who will play the couple.

The series, which will unveil in 10 episodes, is based on a script Katims pitched to the streaming site last year. The show will be produced by  Michelle Lee and Jessica Goldberg. Goldberg will also be writing the episodes.

Dancy is currently on “Hannibal,” whose third season is almost wrapping up on NBC. The show was recently announced as cancelled by the network and the actor has been released from his contract. Thus, this gives him the opportunity to work on a new show.

“Hannibal,” however, may have a movie in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The Way” (which is still a working title, according to Entertainment Weekly), is scheduled to stream on Hulu in 2016.
