Fans of “Game of Thrones” will finally have a convention to call their own. Apart from the Comic Con, which is usually where other fandom converge, the separate “Game of Thrones” con will be a special, first-ever event.

The said event will be organized by Watchers On The Wall, which is still ironing out the details. But so far, the “Game of Thrones” convention is expected to take place for three days in the summer of 2017. It will have presentations, fan activies, photo opportunities as well as panels with the show’s most popular stars. George R.R. Martin, the writer of the stories, is expected to be there as well.

Watchers On The Wall teamed up with Mischief Management to organize the “Game of Thrones” con, with specific dates falling on June 30 to July 2, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. The full announcement is posted on its site.

That’s more than enough time to prepare to the first-ever fan convention for the TV show and the book series. For more details, visit Con Of Thrones.

The news comes as “Game of Thrones” is almost ending its sixth season on HBO and it has only two shortened seasons left. Producers announced ahead of time that it has marked its end after Season 8. By the time the Con of Throne takes place, the series will have already aired its seventh season.

Meanwhile, fans are still waiting for George R. R. Martin to finish the final book that the show is based from. It has been projected that the TV series might finish ahead of the novel, “Winds of Winter.”
