Kami po na lupon ng iba ibang grupo sa musika at pagtula ay magtatanghal sa loob ng LRT 2 Stations simula ngayong Agosto 10 hanggang Agosto 31. Layon po namin na tumulong sa pagpapalaganap ng kaalaman sa mga tao ng ating pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2017 sa pamamagitan ng libreng pagtatanghal sa wikang Pilipino ng mga awit at tula. Sa pakikipagtulungan ng pamunuan ng LRTA, kami po ay sumusuporta sa gawain at adhikain ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino para sa buwan na ito.

As the Philippines hosts the celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which will be commemorated on August 8 this year, the Initiatives for International Dialogue (IID) along with its allied networks, the Asia-Pacific Solidarity Coalition (APSOC) and the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict-Southeast Asia (GPPAC-SEA), together with the broad civil society movements in the region, urgently call on the regional bloc to put front and center the issues of regional peace and human security that continue to challenge the stability of the whole regional community and beset the lives of the most vulnerable peoples in the region.

Peace group lauds new BBL but rejects plan to extend Martial Law

The All-Out Peace (AOP) movement, a broad network of peace advocates and civil society groups, welcomes the submission by the 21-member Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) of the new draft of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) to President Rodrigo Duterte on July 17 and lauds the commitment by the President to certify the proposed measure as urgent and “husband” the same before both houses of Congress.

The Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ) expresses grave concern on the performance of Secretary Roy Cimatu for his negligence in addressing the environmental and social problems caused by coal proliferation. In his recent statement, Cimatu vowed to monitor all operating coal plants and to conduct tests on its impacts.
