NBA: Nic Batum gives Los Angeles Clippers wing versatility

Veteran NBA wing man Nicolas Batum will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

As reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Batum’s addition gives the Clippers more versatility in the wing position.

The 6-9 French star is averaging 11.6 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 3.8 APG for his 12-year career. He is also shooting a decent 35.4% clip from 3-point range.

The 31-year-old wing man signed a massive 120-million dollar deal with the Charlotte Hornets 4 years ago before opting in to his deal.

The squad eventually waived him and he has signed a minimum contract to serve as back-up to superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Earlier, the Clippers re-signed Marcus Morris and also got the services of Serge Ibaka in an effort to fortify their line-up and finish higher in the Western Conference.
