Thirdy Ravena tests positive for COVID-19

Thirdy Ravena has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), his Japan B. League team San-En NeoPhoenix announced Friday.

According to the club team’s post in their official Facebook page, Ravena experienced a sore throat.

His temperature also read 38.2 degrees celsius. After a test for COVID-19, it was confirmed that the Asian import was positive for the virus.

The 6-3 forward is now being treated and is recovering well.

Unlike other leagues with bubble set-ups, Japan’s B.League actually retained its home and away format with fans also being able to attend games.

Japan has not yet flattened the curve when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic, with over 24,000 active cases.

The country registered 2,200+ new cases on November 27 alone.
