NBA: Rockets’ Sefolosha opting out; team to sign Luc Mbah a Moute

Houston Rockets wingman Thabo Sefolosha is opting out of the NBA’s season restart in Orlando later this month.

In his place, the Rockets will be signing veteran forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute to fill the gap.

The Cameroonian forward has played 686 games in his NBA career, though he last suited up for the Los Angeles Clippers last year where he played only 4 games.

Mbah a Moute has career averages of 6.4 PPG and 4.1 RPG.

The Rockets, led by the superstar MVP duo of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, are 4th in the Western Conference so far with a 40-24 record.

But the team is just a few games ahead of other contenders in the conference.

Sefolosha is averaging 2.2 PPG in just over 10 minutes played for the Rockets in 41 appearances.

Houston still has a good mix of wings in their line-up with guys like Robert Covington, Jeff Green, and DeMarre Carroll.
