WATCH: Bill Laimbeer, Isiah Thomas reflect on no-handshake vs Bulls in 1991

Former Detroit Pistons legends Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer reflected on their infamous refusal to shake hands with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls during the 1991 playoffs.

The Pistons, seconds away from being swept by the Bulls, exited prematurely and didn’t shake hands with Chicago’s players, something that wasn’t appreciate by sports fans until now.
Thomas said during that time, there were many emotions being felt by the Pistons and that was how the game went.

“Going for that 3-peat, for us (to lose) it was emotionally draining,” said Thomas.

The Hall of Fame point guard went on to say “it was unfortunate that it happened” and that he paid a hefty price for that gesture years later.

Laimbeer, on the other hand, says he doesn’t regret the gesture back then, and it was ultimately about just moving on for him after the Bulls won.

Dennis Rodman was still a member of the Pistons during that time before eventually with Jordan.
