Meralco Bolts head coach Norman Black hopes the third time is the charm for his squad, as he wishes for a different result when they go up against Barangay Ginebra in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup finals.
Black said the two previous championship losses Meralco experienced against the same nemesis always gets broughts up, and he wants it to stop with the Bolts winning a maiden title.

“It certainly a happy time for us to be back in the finals and have a chance to win a championship again. We do recognize that we have lost to Ginebra twice. I’ve been reminded of that over and over again,” said Black per Spin.ph.

This time around, Black is looking for a different result.

“But hopefully, it would be a different result this time around,” he said.

Meralco has changed their roster over the past several months, adding more height and firepower with Allein Maliksi, Bong Quinto, and Raymond Almazan.

However, Ginebra has had their own additions like Stanley Pringle and Jeff Chan, and the complexion of this conference finals will be an interesting subplot.
