PH athletes off to Singapore camp

Seven national athletes flew to Singapore Friday morning to represent the Philippines in the STEP Asian Youth Sports Leaders Camp to be held March 8-17.

The event is organized by the Singapore OLympic Foundation, Sports Singapore and Temasek Foundation International.

The activity aims to engage 120 young athletes from all over Asia for leadership training and values inculcation to build closer ties among Asian youth leaders.

Among the Filipino athletes tapped to participate in the event are: Eumir Felix Marcial of Boxing, Islay Erika Bomogao of Muay, Abigail Sinogbuhan of Sepak Takraw, Jack Danielle Animan of Basketball, Jamaila Ramos of Pencak Silat and Horner De Vera of Tournament Bridge.

Katrina Gargoles of the Philippine Olympic Committee secretariat is delegation head. All expenses for their participation are covered by the Organizing Committee.
