Games Tuesday (Cuneta Astrodome)
7 p.m. – Manila vs Cebu
9 p.m. – Pasay vs Bacoor

It will be the Pasay Voyagers to play host for the MPBL Datu Cup, taking on the Bacoor Strikers at the Cuneta Astrodome on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.

The Voyagers are coming off a loss to the San Juan Knights and look to bounce back with a win against the Strikers in their 9 p.m. encounter.

But just like the Voyagers, the Strikers are out to snap an alarming skid. They’ve lost back-to-back games and are hoping to return to the win column.

Equally exciting will be the game between the Manila Stars and the still winless Cebu Sharks, who will clash in the first game at 7 p.m. The Stars are still licking the wound of their previous loss to the Makati Skyscrapers off a buzzer beater by Jeckster Apinan and they have a chance to get back on the winning run with a victory over the luckless Sharks, who are still winless in three games.

The Stars, behind their talent-laden line up, are heavily favored against the Sharks. Manila has Roger Yap, Marcy Arellano, Riel Cervantes, Drian Celada, Marvin Hayes, Aris Dionisio, Chris Bitoon and John Lopez as among those reliable scorers.

For Pasay, this is the first time the city is putting up a basketball team in a regional tournament and playing in front of its hometown crowd is much anticipated. The Voyagers will be playing at the Cuneta Astrodome, which was used before as the home of the PBA.
