SANMAN Boxing Gym’s Ernie Sanchez arrived in Russia on Tuesday night (PH time) for his awaited showdown with undefeated hometown bet Evgeny Chuprakov on July 14 in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

Sanchez arrived in enemy’s territory accompanied by Sanman’s assistant trainer and matchmaker Ronerex Dalut.

“I am ready. May the best man win,” said Sanchez, who will face Chuprakov in a 10-round encounter for the WBO Inter-Continental super featherweight belt.

Sanchez has 18 victories and 11 losses. Nine of his wins came by way of knockouts.

Sanchez is gunning for a major upset as he looks to become the first fighter to defeat Chuprakov, who is still spotless in 19 fights highlighted by 10 knockout wins.

Sanchez said he has done enough to prepare against his highly touted opponent.

“Both of us are in good shape. Let’s see what happens in the ring,” he said.
